About Us
You have come upon New Zealands only pure microscopic traffic simulation consultancy. We sell, develop and practice the black art of traffic modelling at a microscopic level. We help customers purchase S-Paramics, SCATS, Wintraff and FUSE. We also provide training on S-Paramics, SCATS and SCATS modelling, so our customers can start their own modelling project straightaway. If you want to talk to us, then follow the contact page.
If you need traffic advice, a model, a peer review, help with some signals, design work, a traffic survey or a good chat about where to eat curry then use the contact page to get hold of the relevant or closest
baseplus contact.
Christchurch CBD Modelling
The S-Paramics suite of programmes is a fantastic tool for Councils to construct and subsequently test alternative strategies, policies, proposed developments etc on the CBD area. This enables the wider effects of proposals to be assessed and analysed with a greater degree of confidence. Conventional strategic models do this at a high level, but S-Paramics, with the knowledge of baseplus , can model what actually occurs on street with visual assessment and analysis to back it up.
We can offer the development of the CBD model linked to the SCATS signal controllers. This is revolutionary in simulation modelling circles and enables the model to assess exactly what occurs on street, thus adding an additional element of confidence and reality to the modelling output. baseplus staff in association with SIAS staff in Edinburgh, developed the software and knowledge in which to apply this additional feature, and in New Zealand are the only consultancy with the ability to integrate and apply SCATS and S-Paramics. In addition, we offer our clients 4 dimensional modelling, where we incorporate 3 dimensional models of the buildings, street infrastructure, topography etc. within the modelled area. This is proved to be highly successful in consultations for ease of orientation around the network but also enabling a realistic picture of the scheme to be visualised.
